Samantha Villarreal

I’m a sales rep at Nex-Gen Builders, and I joined because I believe in the vision of building not just quality homes, but lasting relationships with our clients. I’ve always had a passion for helping people bring their ideas to life, and being part of a company that values integrity and growth made it an easy decision.

My path into construction sales started with a love for communication and customer service. Over time, I developed a strong interest in the building process itself. Since joining Nex-Gen Builders, I’ve helped secure and manage several residential projects and contributed to building out our client network through consistent, hands-on support.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places, and finding creative ways to unwind whether that’s through music, or bible study.

I’d describe myself as driven, approachable, and detail oriented. A fun fact about me before starting my journey in construction, I served as Vice President of the Student Council at South Texas College, where I discovered my passion for leadership and community building skills that continue to shape how I connect with clients today.

Looking ahead, I’m focused on continuing to grow with Nex-Gen Builders, expanding our client base, building strong partnerships, and eventually stepping into a leadership role where I can help shape our sales strategy and support the next generation of team members.

Juan Villarreal

I’m a Co-founder of Nex-Gen Builders. It has always been a dream of mine to start a construction company. I’ve had a passion for construction, innovation, and creating lasting spaces for as long as I can remember. Starting this company gave me the opportunity to bring that dream to life, combining quality craftsmanship with a forward-thinking approach. I wanted to build more than just homes or commercial properties. I wanted to build a new standard for what people can expect from a builder.

My career path has been shaped by discipline, hard work, and a constant drive to grow. Right out of high school, I served in the U.S. Army, which helped build a strong foundation in leadership, teamwork, and resilience. After the military, I went to college for HVAC and earned my EPA certification, which opened the door to working in technical trades.

From there, I spent 16 years in the petrochemical industry, where I gained deep experience in industrial systems, safety protocols, and project execution on a large scale. Over the years, I’ve led crews, managed multimillion-dollar projects, and built a reputation for quality and reliability.

These experiences combined with my passion for construction paved the way for launching Nex-gen Builders. I took everything I learned and poured it into building a company that’s committed to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

My future goals in the construction industry center around building a reputable, trusted company that stands out for quality, integrity, and service. With Nex-gen Builders, I want to create more than just a construction business. I want to create a legacy. That means consistently delivering exceptional work, building strong relationships with clients, and creating opportunities for others within the industry.

Omar Mendoza

I’m a Co-founder of Nex-Gen Builders that got my start in construction back in 2012 as a helper on industrial sites. Over the years, I worked my way up to project manager, overseeing multi-million-dollar jobs that involved everything from budgeting and scheduling to leading large teams. Integrity and transparency have always been important to me—treating people fairly and keeping communication honest, whether it’s with clients, coworkers, or employees. In 2021, I transitioned into residential and commercial construction, managing builds for another company before starting our own in 2022. From the beginning, our focus has been on doing things differently—being upfront with pricing, cutting out the typical industry games, and creating a great experience for people who may only go through this process once in their life.

What I love most about construction is seeing how much of an impact one project can have. It’s not just about the end result—it’s about the workers, their families, and the clients whose lives are shaped by what we build.

If I had to describe myself in a few words, I’d say character, integrity, and purpose. A fun fact: I’ve done just about every job on a site, which really helps me lead with empathy and respect.
